Earlier this evening Matt made an appearance at the National Television Awards. He was nominated for best Drama Performance (Male) while his costar Karen Gillan was nominated for best Drama Performance (Female). Doctor Who was nominated for best Drama. Both Matt and Karen won the awards they were nominated for but the award for best Drama went to Downton Abbey. Congratulations, especially to Matt and Karen, and all the other winners.

Matt Smith’s Doctor Who costume is to be auctioned for Children In Need.
The BBC’s annual charity telethon takes place tomorrow (November 18) and fans will get the chance to win the outfit the Eleventh Doctor specifically wore in the Neil Gaiman-penned episode from this year, The Doctor’s Wife.
Details will be revealed as part of a special skit sketch written by Steven Moffat, and the auction will then open. Smith said: “I’d say the tweed jacket or the bow-tie are the most iconic – although the boots are my personal favourite. I hope people donate generously for BBC Children In Need because it’s a wonderful cause – and we’ve got to beat last year’s total.”
The auction will run through BBC.co.uk/Pudsey and stay open until Monday, November 21. The successful bidder will also win a copy of the sketch script, signed by Moffat and Smith.
Children In Need will also see the title of this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special revealed, and viewers will get a sneak peak of the festive adventure.

To coincide with the launch of the Doctor Who Complete Series 6 DVD and BLURAY boxset, the TARDIS crew will be materialising at one of Europe’s biggest shopping centres, Westfield Stratford, London on Monday 21 November 2012.
The two-fold event will be a signing (limited to 250 people with a wristband that can be collected at HMV from 08:30 on the day of the signing at HMV (starting at 13:30) and a Q&A session with Jo Whiley (at the Gallery between 16:00 and 16:30). (SOURCE)
